Eat Outs // Garden Grill

Hey Guys!!!

Happy Tuesday & I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend. Since I returned home last summer I made a list of restaurants I’d love to visit.
Well, one year later I finally made it to one of my top places.

Garden Grill

Located at Dutchman’s Bay near the airport, Garden Grill serves as a rather open, friendly, picturesque restaurant. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner on select days. We opted for lunch on Saturday afternoon.

Before you enter, you’re greeted with chalkboard signs welcoming you as well as views of the garden and a pool that you’re welcomed to use. It’s an outdoorsy setting; seating arrangements are under a canopy. Unfortunately, Saturday was incredibly hot so there wasn’t any breeze really. Thus it was slightly uncomfortable.

Due to the popularity of the restaurant on social media I just had to have one of the famous sangrias. My choice was the Sparkling Summer Sangria while my friend had the Lemonade Mojito.
P.S they taste as good as they look.

To eat, we decided on burgers to keep it casual; I had the House Burger and my friend had the Firehouse Burger.

House Burger: Grilled 8oz black Angus beef with onion compote, sharp cheddar, bacon, lemon aioli, avocado on Brioche bun served with Sweet Potato fries.

Firehouse BurgerGrilled 8oz black Angus beef with sharp cheddar, bacon, candied jalapenos served with House fries.

I enjoyed EVERYTHING about this meal; I definitely underestimated the size so I had to end up slicing it in two, and only having one half. The patties are homemade and perfectly seasoned, so are the fries and sweet potato fries are my thing. I really have zero complaints and would definitely try again; my friend however didn’t particularly like their choice of jalapenos.

Overall: 4.5/5
Service: 4/5
Price: $$$

Can’t wait for the next time!
Enjoy the rest of ya’ll week
XOXO

Eat Outs // Pari’s Pizza + Steakhouse

Hey Guyss!!
Happy Friday!!

This week has been a long one yet still a quick one, if that makes any sense. However, on Tuesday we celebrated my baby sister’s graduation from high school. She received many awards and we simply couldn’t end the night without celebrating. Since it was a week night we settled for a pizza night.

Our choice was PARI’S PIZZA + STEAKHOUSE.

It’s located just behind Rex Halcyon Cove and only 10 minutes from town. It was recently renovated and has been established since 1977. The overall environment is very welcoming and relaxed. It is a great area for families and kids, as well as groups (coworkers/friends). As mentioned earlier we came specifically for PIZZA; we ordered two large ones to share.

Good Vibes at Ana’s

Hey Guys!!

We’re already in the third week of May which means that SUMMER is close. My motto for this year is “Good Vibes Only“; no time for “bad vibes” or anything negative.

One of my good friends came home to Antigua for the week and before he left I wanted to spend a little time with him. We went out on Friday for drinks and other shenanigans then decided to chill on Saturday for lunch.

After much deliberation we settled for Ana’s on the Beach.

Cutie’s for Lunch

Finally some fooooood. It’s been a long while since I had a food related post; let’s face it no one takes me out *lol* and I haven’t been in a cooking mood lately. Anyway, last Saturday in between shenanigans my girls and I went out for lunch.

Ti, my best friend suggested this new joint in town called Cutie’s (apparently that’s the owner’s name). Of course I agreed, cuz hey I’m all in for trying new spots. Lunch for us was around 12:30 after we finished walking through town. One of our other friends joined us because we were planning to meet up later for the rest of our shenanigans (my new word btw). Lunch Shenanigans

Hey Guyssss

Hope everyone is having an enjoyable weekend thus far.

In case you didn’t know shawty (me) got a JOB! A legit job and one along the fields of what I studied. Next week would complete my first month, and I must say time definitely flew but it’s been good. So for the last friday of every month my supervisor normally treats his staff, which is normally seven people including himself. As a continuing tradition they choose somewhere new to experience; I’m very happy for this because it has been a goal of mine to tryout new restaurants around the island.

For this week their choice was C&C Wine House.

This wasn’t my first time going there as I previously tried it during the summer. However I decided to go with it and try something different from the menu. It was a Friday afternoon and I wasn’t particularly in the mood for any heavy food, so I settled on Fried Chicken Wings and French Fries.

What I loved about this was the way in which they plated the food. I found the setup nice and different by using the conical-shaped basket for the fries. The wings were also tasteful and well seasoned; the sauce pictured in the basket is a passion fruit sauce which made everything even better. I can’t recall the name of the wine we were drinking, but it was a mixture between dry and sweet. It’s also from South Africa and after two glasses I was good.

It’s a nice little chill spot to grab a bite or relax and sip wine with a couple of friends. Also, on the plus side it’s located in the heart of the town, so you can explore the city as well as walk on the boardwalk where cruise ships dock.
