Time – 2:34 PM

Feeling – Nonchalant? Not sure how to describe my feeling at the current moment

Eating/Drinking – Water

Listening To – People in the office

Missing – The peace and quiet of being at home; how easy school life was (Enjoy the moment if you’re still there; those problems are nothing compared to the “real world”).

Wishing – I was on a yacht or at a hotel relaxing, somewhere I can see and hear the ocean/sea.

Should be Doing –  So much work, planning for meetings/fundraisers/blog posts/social time with friends and probably so many other stuff.

You Need More Than Motivation

Oooo its Wednesday, #HumpDay! Hope all is well and your week has been going smoothly, two more days until the weekend.

I know most of the time in order to get started with a project or plans for a goal we need a little push. Most times that’s readily available, whether it’s a person cheering you on or a podcast you listen to daily; the motivation is there. But what happens when you still don’t feel motivated enough or you’re not on the receiving end of any motivation?

This is the tough part.

So we’re two weeks into January and this is the state I’m currently in:

THE STATS

Time – 11:15 A.M.

Feeling – Anxious and Content

Eating/Drinking – A PB&J Sandwich with a glass of lemonade

Listening To – The sound of the fan and the trees blowing outside. It’s actually a pretty gorgeous day and I’m spending it inside #womp.

Missing – My newest friend Nella and also this boy I’ve grown a liking to

Wishing – Things were simple and all my “problems” would just go away. I know they’re probably minuscule to what others may be dealing with, but stilllll

Should be Doing – My work reports, but who does work on a Sunday? Continue reading “Currently I am ~ 14.01.18”

Blogmas Day 3 ~ Year End Bucket List

So there are two more weeks left in the year, or more so sixteen days and you’re probably thinking what can we/I get done in that amount of time. Well, that’s all a part of the challenge a bucket list brings. Today I’m sharing a few things I hope to accomplish before the year ends. Feel free to apply them in your own way ~

20171112_132313-226548956.jpg

1 //  Making peace with my past

This includes any and every “bad” thing that happened in 2017. Letting go of grudges if that means forgiving those who wronged me or forgiving myself, as well as making my amends with anyone I need to. Also, settling any debt or outstanding payments *lol* or at least starting the process.

2 // Finishing things I started

We all start things without fully completing them so this is our chance. Earlier in the year I watched Girl Boss on Netflix, wrote a post which got a lot of attention but still haven’t finished the darn book. I will complete it before the year ends, because I have new additions to start. Continue reading “Blogmas Day 3 ~ Year End Bucket List”

Celebrating Success for 2017

As we get ready to enter the new year most of our efforts are on creating new goals and resolutions for 2018, but what about the ones we made for 2017? Matter of fact before we get into that since life doesn’t always go as planned, what about your surprise achievements this year?

Screen Shot 2017-12-04 at 6.23.24 PM

Did your 2017 live up to the hype?

Did you achieve all that you wanted and more?

Most importantly, DID YOU STOP TO CELEBRATE YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS?

As humans I find we’re quick to move on to the next thing/goal and not celebrate what we’ve achieved this in that moment. Now, I’m not talking about birthdays, anniversaries, graduations that type of thing where we actually stop and plan a whole celebration. No, I’m talking about the small stuff. Hey September!

Hey Guys!!!
August is finally over *after countless weeks* & we have four months left in 2017 which I really want to make count.

So it’s a new month, and I’ve started to think about what I actually want to accomplish with my blog going forward. The mission of my blog has always been the same: “To Inspire” and I intend to keep it that way.

Here’s what I’ve come up with so far:

CONTENT

This won’t change much, you’ll still see:

  • Food: In My Kitchen +  #EatOuts
  • Adventure/Island life: Traveling, partying and any other activity i do here in Antigua or abroad
  • Inspiration: Let’s Talk + Motivation Monday

With the addition of:

  • Blog Help: As I discover new ways to improve my blog I’d share them with you *it may or may not be new to you, but it may help someone*
  • In your 20s: This may factor into the inspiration headline, but we all know how stressful this decade can get. I’ll talk about my experiences and what I’ve been learning thus far.
  • Guest Posts: Collaborating with other bloggers or maybe an interview I do with someone because I want to share their story about a particular topic.

What’s your FUTURE lookin’ like?

Hey guys!!

It’s been a while huh? Well, I’m still here. Work been keeping me busy, and when I’m not doing that it’s a headache to do anything blog related. Finding inspiration to keep going gets difficult at times, but I try my best to continue this journey. Giving up is not an option.

So, let’s get into today’s post *which should also serve as an inspiration*:
What’s your future lookin’ like?

Vision Boardplanning

The point of a vision board is to illustrate visually what you’d like your life to be like in the future. That may include: family, career, travel and other life goals. Pictures may be taken from the internet, magazines and other illustrations you may have at home.

Designing a Vision Board

If you’d like to make a physical vision board all you’d need is a bulletin/foam board, pictures, adhesive and other decorative items you may desire. Pinterest is definitely your place to check out for ideas and proper planning methods. Continue reading “What’s your FUTURE lookin’ like?”

Hey April!

(via brookeweeberillustration: April Flowers. | ❀ Spring Sweetness ❀ | Pin…):

Hey guys!

Welcome to a new month.  I like the feel of new months, because I think they’re a chance for a fresh start. As cliché as it may sound it’s a great time for a new beginning; forget all about what went wrong last month and focus on the current moment. All the goals you made at the beginning of the year, continue to work on them and set individual steps to reach them. Continue reading “Hey April!”

Sunday Funday // Happy New Year

Hey Guys!!

How cool is it that New Year’s day falls on a Sunday? Not only do we get an extra day for a holiday, but it just makes the celebration even more worth it. Before we get into my first adventure of the year…..

This Year I Will….

QUIT
Comparing my progress to others; “Comparison is the thief of joy.”

START
The gym *lol* or at least some sort of workout plan

VISIT
Montserrat. It’s so close to home and I also have family relations there, so why not?

ACCEPT
Change. I don’t expect everything to stay the same in 2017; things will happen whether good or bad and you’d have to learn to accept them. Continue reading “This Year I Will….”
